Title: Singh join's Rewa Author: Pravin Narain Date: Friday, January 6th 2017 Click here to read this article Summary: Fiji's football team is getting a new coach. His name is Gurjit Singh. He want to make sure that this team will be good. His goal is to be the first time this team will go to the OFC. They even hired a trainer to help the team. Singh has good intentions for this team and believes in them. He has previous experience with coaching other football teams. He is still new so it will be a little rough at first but he has already started getting the team ready. Thoughts and observations: Sports are a big part of culture. Fiji is not very big but I think it is cool that they have a football team. I know how it feels to get used to a new coach. It takes a little time to get use to their coaching style and for them to get use to you. Once that happens you can have a cohesive team. I bet it will be hard for the players in the begining but I bet they can acheive their goal. Relate to culture: Sports are part of both folk and pop culture. Some sports originated from folk sports and others are new. Football is a big sport in many places. In America is it especially big. When other people from other countries see our players playing, that may make them want to start their own team. If enough people join they could have their own leagues. This is a part of culture that can get passed down from generation to generation.
