He was part of a group called Koudjay. He also went by the name Samba Kessy. He went to the hospital because he felt dicomfort after a porformance. More achivements that Samba Kessy has are that he used to sing for another group called Southern Group of Les Cayes. He has also sung with other Haitian singers in his life time. Haiti will greatly miss him and his music. Thoughts and observations: Music is an important part to a person and their culture. Whenever someone important in that industry dies that is always a hard thing. I know that this past year in America many influential singers and musicains have died. Luckily with advancements in technology we can still listen to and enjoy their music. Haiti really loved Samba Kessy's music so it will may be hard for some people to get over his lose. Relates to culture: Music is inportant to culture. It can express emotions and have meaningful lyrics. Music has changed since it was first around in folk culture. Their are many more styles and more people have access to listening to it. Now when somone famous for their music dies people still have ways of remebering them.
